Secret Garden

Friday, August 29th at 5:30pm. 

Tucked away in Spicer Park away from the main grounds, enter a secret garden designed as an arts & crafts and sensory experience for children who prefer a quieter event.  Edible play dough, a paper plate person, scratch & sniff finger painting and more!

Pub Crawl

2025 sees an expanded tournament. Friday Aug 29 starting at 8pm for the Super Showdown and Saturday August 30 for Battlezone 27. Registration starts at 11:30am with the competition starting at 12pm. Arm wrestling for all ages & experience levels

The Canteens

The canteens open Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 10:00 am

Berwick Lion’s Canteen, Berwick Scouts, Berwick Junior Curling are on the Grounds. Berwick Ringette have the canteen at KMCC.

Children’s Parade

Saturday August 30 at 11:00 am. 

Berwick Town Hall

The Annual Children’s Parade leaves Town Hall and travels up Commercial Street to Union Street and ends at the Gazebo in Centennial Park.  Start planning your entries! Pre- registration is not required.

Quiet Touch a Truck and Touch a Truck

Saturday August 30 at 11:30 am.  Rainforth Park

Have you ever wanted to see inside a tractor? A transfer truck? A Fire Truck? Come see these and more in Rainforth Park.  This first hour doesn’t involve sirens horns or other loud noises.

The same as Quiet Touch a Truck but you guessed it!  The horns will blow, the sirens will sound and there will be lots of noise!

Dunk Tank

Flower Demonstration

Saturday August 30 at noon under the tent in Rainforth Park

A gorgeous display of fresh locally grown flowers.  Enjoy them for their beauty and fragrance or purchase your choices to make a unique bouquet.

Flower Show

Knee High to a Grasshopper Story Telling

Join Liz as she tell her stories on Saturday Aug 30 and Sunday Aug 31 at 2:00pm in Rainforth Park as she tells her stories full of imagination for children of all ages. Her characters are fun, resourceful and loving. She also creates felt hand puppets and props to enhance the experience for my wide eyed audience.

Firefighter’s Challenge

Come out and watch your local firefighters take on teams from other departments.  Who will win the trophy this year? Is it just me or are the firefighter’s getting younger all the time?

The Fabulously Rich

Saturday August 30 at 8:30pm.  Enjoy an evening featuring Canada’s premier Tragically Rich cover band.  You will not be disappointed!  This is a 19+ event

73rd Annual 5 Mile Road Race

Sunday August 31 at 9am in Centennial Park

This race is one the Road Race Series for Run NS.  The runners start at Centennial Park and race through the town and back to Centennial Park.  Come down and see them off or if you live on the route, cheer them on as they pass.  There are 200 of them so they’re hard to miss!  Remember to watch for runners as you drive through town on Sunday morning.

Livestock Show

Sunday August 31 at 9am at the Kings Mutual Century Centre

Pre-registration is not required.  Register on site starting at 8am. 

Live Music at the Car Show

Sunday August 31 starting at 9am in Rainforth Park. Enjoy the musical talents of local performers who have donated their time to the Annual Car Show.

Chicken BBQ

Gala Days famous Chicken BBQ sponsored by Eden Valley Poultry! $20.00 a plate includes your chicken, potato salad, coleslaw and a role.  Don’t be disappointed, come early before they are sold out.

Annual Car Show

Our huge Car Show.  Entries can arrive earlier, but cars are available for viewing at 11am.  Come and vote for your favourite in the People’s Choice.  Live music during the day.

Light Horse Show

Quilt & Hooked Mat Show and Sale

Grand Street Parade

Monday September 1 at 11am leaving from WKM Health Centre

The parade moves down Commercial Street to Main Street.  The first portion of our Grand Street Parade is a Quiet Zone.  Bands, trucks and all entries are requested to maintain quiet until they have entered Commercial Street.  This allows families with noise sensitive members to attend and enjoy.  Individuals, groups and businesses wishing to enter should see the Parade Application available on this site under Updates.
